BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:Events Booking BEGIN:VEVENT UID:69e2dfc6ab963 SUMMARY:MARCH CHAPTER MEETING DESCRIPTION:MARCH CHAPTER MEETING PMI Mid-Nebraska Chapter invites you to hear PRESENTER: MIKE HASENKAMP\, Sr. PM\, PMO - NPPD Join Mike as he discusses the Muddy Creek to Ord 115 kV Transmission Line Project In the summer of 2012\, high temperatures and drought conditions in the north ce ntral part of Nebraska led to electric loads larger than projected and lar ger than the electric system’s capacity to supply that load. \; This resulted in power shut offs for some customers in the area. \; The Mu ddy Creek to Ord 115 kV Transmission Line\, a new 40 mile long 115 kV tran smission line between Broken Bow and Ord\, built in response to the event\ , will also address potential reliability issues in the area\, will provid e a redundant path between two radial transmission substations\, and will enable future load growth in the area. \; This line was built entirely by Nebraska Public Power District’s transmission and retail line crews and was completed in March of 2018\, on time\, and under budget.
